Balkansko is among those rear stores which have the pleasure of offering the traditional Bulgarian jewelry handmade using ancient technology. Originating from the Chiprovtsi school the filigree technique is carried in to Berkovitsa in 1968 by master Todor Krastev who taught the craft to local masters. The producers’ co-operative society created by Mr. Krastev is still active and the few remained masters are the only ones who create that wonderful silver finery.
